How soon after treatment can I wash my hair?

• As soon as 8 hours later you can shampoo your hair.

Will Botox strip my hair?

• Yes it will. It is a powerful potion designed to penetrate the hair shaft and fill in all the holes so unfortunately this will push artificial colour out.

Can I colour straight after my BTX treatment?

• No. Avoid colouring for 3 days to 1 week. However you may tone on zero if you like.

Can BTX be done on extremely damaged hair?

• Here’s the thing, the treatment would never damage the hair BUT the hot plates can cause damage if hair is already over processed, comprised and extremely frail.

Why did my last hairdresser do the treatment slightly different?

• Each and every professional has their own style! Also each clients hair is different so the initial consultation may vary.

Can I do this treatment on my pregnant client?

• Absolutely.

Can I use my own shampoo after having the treatment done?

The reason we do not recommend using a different shampoo is because the MK Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner is designed to lock the treatment in. Using a different brand can compromise the life span of the treatment. Even if it’s a sulphate free shampoo.

Can I go swimming?

-chlorine is a harsh chemical 

That  sucks the natural oils from your hair and skin, leaving them dry, rough, and damaged. ... Chlorine can also cause chemical reactions in your hair, changing the natural color of your hair, weakening each hair strand, and causing split ends. It also has a bleaching effect therefore  any treatment or colour will be compromised.

Salt water/ Sea water is a natural shampoo. ... It also helps remove leftover shampoo and conditioner that the hair has been treated with. Including stripping it of colour, keratin or Botox. 

So in short it’s best yo protect your hair before swimming. Ideally wetting hair with clean water and applying MK Leave in to the hair thoroughly and putting a swimming cap on.

Is having a MK treatment damaging?

• No. the treatment it’s self is designed to strengthen, seal and nourish your hair. The whole purpose of the treatment is to bring life back to your hair. In fact due to the rich ingredients clients have said that they notice less hair falling out, which is an added bonus!

Can I mix treatments?

-Absolutely! Each treatment has it own benefit so combining formulas gives you the best of both!

If I had a keratin or straightener done but wasn’t happy, could I have a Bontx treatment after it?

-No. you should always allow at least 3 months between treatments. Do a test strand if necessary. We don’t know what ingredients other products have and how they might clash .
